A CALL TO ACTION: RICHLAND COUNTY CITIZENS FOR THE 2ND AMENDMENT - OVERVIEWS OF PURPOSE 

The posted summaries of general purpose and activities describe the most urgent concerns of the Richland County Citizens For The 2nd Amendment and serve as an over-all organizational guide for emphasis and action. It is hoped that others will form similar 2nd Amendment, Civil Defense, groups in their own counties and communities for the defense of our 2nd and 4th Amendment rights against unlawful attempts at usurpations and violations of those constitutional rights by any and all threats.

A good relationship is being forged with the current sheriff of Richland County who has voluntarily declared himself to be a "huge" supporter of the 2nd Amendment and the "right to carry law". Writing letters and setting up meetings between your concerned citizens delegation and your sheriff is highly recommended. 

RICHLAND COUNTY CITIZENS FOR THE 2ND AMENDMENT STATEMENT OF PURPOSE

1) It is the objective of the citizens of Richland County, Ohio who are concerned with retaining, especially, their 2nd and 4th Amendment rights under the Constitution of the United States, to organize into a body of support for the sheriff of Richland County for his duty-bound efforts to protect and defend the constitutional rights of the county citizens, focusing mainly on the 2nd and 4th Amendments.

2) Such preparations for the above may include the individual readiness of members of the Richland County Citizens For The 2nd Amendment to come to the aid of the sheriff of Richland County in the event that he encounters an emergency situation regarding threats to the 2nd and or 4th Amendment rights of the county citizenry. Such threats would include unconstitutional, without 4th Amendment warrant, searches of private homes and unconstitutional seizures of firearms. Historical examples of these kinds of violations of constitutional rights abound, ie., house to house gun confiscations, with the police and military actions in New Orleans, Louisiana in the aftermath of Hurricane Katrina. Those people STILL have not had their firearms returned to them. Certainly, the handwriting is on the wall.

3) As the county sheriff is the duly elected head of the county militia under the Constitution of the United States, the county sheriff has the authority to deputize citizens for the support of actions taken to defend the constitutional rights of the citizenry. The members of the Richland County Citizens For The 2nd Amendment will remain available for deputizing by the county sheriff in case emergencies should arise which would threaten our 2nd and or 4th Amendment rights. Also, said members should remain available for deputizing for any other types of public emergencies calling for constitutional support of the sheriff.

4) In the event of a general crisis-threat to the public's 2nd and or 4th Amendment rights the sheriff of Richland County, Ohio is unable or unwilling to come to the defense of the public's constitutional rights, the Richland County Citizens For The 2nd Amendment shall take the necessary and appropriate actions in his stead. The freedom and duty for such defensive activity is guaranteed and expected by the Declaration of Independence and the Constitution of the United States.

The following statement has been often quoted, but, has been too infrequently physically applied to real, public, organizing in history to which the complacent Russians, Chinese, Germans and many other peoples who suffered under the tyranny of totalitarianism can so somberly attest. "We either stand together, or, we'll hang separately."
